Important Update: Temporary Closure of New Bookings

It is with a very heavy heart that I must announce that Love Cats Croydon is not accepting any new bookings until further notice.

This decision has not been taken lightly. Unfortunately, with almost every booking changing at the very last minute, it has now become impossible to provide the reliable service your cats deserve.

Over the past weeks I have been working 18+ hours a day, including late nights spent rescheduling routes, reissuing invoices, and rearranging staff at short notice. Due to this constant workload, I am currently unwell and physically cannot continue under these circumstances. Quite simply, there are no more hours in the day to absorb the amount of work constant last-minute bookings and changes entail.

Please understand, I have done my best to avoid such in ensuring:

• A booking confirmation is sent to you in writing, with the dates and times repeated back exactly as requested.

• An invoice is always attached, clearly listing the same dates and times.

• At the bottom of every confirmation, I ask you in bold text to check carefully that the details are correct.

• An email reminders is sent a week before the booking is due to start

• PLUS a WhatsApp message is sent a day before too

Despite these safeguards, every single day since May 1st this year, at least one booking still changes – Weve had owners forget their return date, extend holidays without notice, or expect last-minute visits with only hours to spare. This puts enormous strain and responsibility on me to accept the booking immediately and make all changes / updates necessary, which in turn not only disrupts the schedule for other clients but can also puts cats at risk, when I cannot accommodate such changes safely. Changes and cancellations last minute too mean there are cats we could’ve helped, but have had to say no to as we were CONFIRMED to see others.

Unfortunately, I cannot continue to operate under these conditions and feel your sitters deserve more respect for the time and commitment they give.  Making a loss every singe day due to the last min changes also means this business cannot function when confirmed bookings are treated as flexible.

Therefore:

• ANY BOOKINGS ALREADY CONFIRMED WILL GO AHEAD AS PLANNED – please do not panic.

• ALL PENDING REQUESTS (whether I have replied yet or not) WILL STILL BE HONOURED AND CONFIRMED THIS WEEK

• BUT NO NEW BOOKIGS WILL BE ACCEPTED UNTIL I CAN ENSURE CLIENTS ARE ABLE TO PROVIDE ACURATE DATES IN GOOD TIME TO SAFELY ACCEPT

I appreciate your understanding and cooperation while I try to find a solution. This is not the end of Love Cats Croydon – I have a wonderful team ready to help – but for their sake, your cats’ welfare, and my own health, we must PAUSE until booking requests can be managed responsibly.
