Its with a heavy heart that we need to close further August 2026 bookings
Once again, the proposed Croydon Tramlink closures are leaving local businesses and residents who rely on public transport facing huge uncertainty. And as many of you know, we're one of them!
To keep Love Cats Croydon affordable, sustainable and climate-conscious, most of our sitters walk or use public transport. Every route is carefully planned around the tram, bus and train network.
Without that infrastructure, we simply can't take on more bookings without relying on taxis or Ubers - and that's not financially viable. A single five-minute Uber journey can cost more than we earn from two or three visits.
The last tram closure left us with a significant financial loss that as a business we're still recovering from, and as much as I'd love to help every cat owner who gets in touch, I also have to make sure Love Cats Croydon is still here to care for our regulars in the future.
The impact of unreliable transport on small businesses is very real. When the infrastructure we depend on disappears during what should be our busiest month of the year, it doesn't just cause inconvenience - it threatens livelihoods.

So, for now, we're activating damage control:
