Lockdown Learning (Part 2 - it's not just Cats!)

Part 1 was shared via Instagram last Sunday (find us @LoveCatsCroydon) but expaning on it for this weeks learnings - its been an amazing week! Cat wise, business wise and other…

Things we learn in lockdown part two:

1) Apparently you are the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with. After 86 days in lockdown at home with Crumpet, I think that means I’m averaging half cat! BUT we can now start some “socially distanced socialising” (?) with our BUBBLE, so choose your bubble wisely. If you’re gonna be average, be the average of the best!

2) Croydon has lots of lovely green open spaces. I’ve not appreciated them until recently. Its ironic really that it takes a lockdown to get out more! That irony is not lost on me, but its worth a shout out to the tiny parks, ponds and little rivers, plus the larger open spaces, the woods and the “secret” gardens we’ve found. Yes in Croydon. And walking in the sun, in the morning, in the green spaces, when its quiet and still - just the best start to most days! Try it. And let us know your favourite Croydon parks, Croydon walks and Croydon beauty spots.

3) Lastly this week, I’ve learnt to stop and celebrate even the little wins. They may not mean much to most, but thats the beauty of it. Personal achievements need celebrated too. This week we built our first ever website - although far from perfect, it works - you’re on it! www.lovecatscroydon.co.uk Connecting with our community feels really good- win! Over on Instagram we reached 300 followers @lovecatscroydon might not sound much to many, but again its connection and community - win! Small wins = meaningful achievements. Its a good time to stop, look back and see how far we’ve come. This goes for everyone and in any aspect, not just business. So lets take note of how far we’ve come, then go out and smash another incredible week ahead!
