THANK YOU FOR YOUR THANK YOUS (again)

#wellnesswednesday

It's no secret that I've been stretched to my limit this last few months (June / July Aug 26). The heat has not helped any of us, but yesterday I finally broke. Literally. My body is EXHAUSTED and HOT and everyday is like an endurance test, but my brain stopped yesterday too 🧠🤯

With 4 changes to the schedule before 10am - having started at 4am - and following a full day of vet visits and unwell cats the day before, a night of zero sleep again due to the overnight temperatures, and the anxiety of the ill cats (yes I do think about your cats in the middle of the night, and sometimes dream about them too), I had scheduled myself a little time for a gym class. Boost the endorphins, take time out, feel better...but on arrival the gym had been closed 🙈🤣 typical.

So, I decided not to let my plan go completely to waste and headed to treat myself to a coffee instead.

Only when I arrived at the coffee shop, I was so beyond exhausted, I couldn't even remember the order I wanted! I COULDNT REMEMBER THE WORD. MY BRAIN LITERALLY STOPPED. There was just a blank space. It wasn't even on the tip of my tongue. The same thing I order every time. But nope, NOTHING...

SO SCARY!

Now the lady in the shop was so patient, even though she probably thought I was insane, and I did get there in the end, but the point of the story is - I'm tired. I'm beyond tired. I think I was tired in the 90s and it's just got worse every day since! 😂😴

And that's why it matters to me so much when people say thank you. And why i mention it again, because the kindness is always unexpected and gets me everytime! Again, not why I do this. It's truly a labour of love, but the thank yous - genuinely - mean people are grateful, and what we do matters! 😊

We know the cats are happy, but we don't get much interaction with the owners, which is one of the wstranges parts of this job as I feel like I know you all so well being in your homes. So to know what we do for your cats helps, to know its appreciated, and to know youre happy too, honestly means the world. THANK YOU.

A thank you from a client whos moving out of the service area, weve seen their fur babies for years so its sad to see them go, but we wish them the BEST of luck in their new home and new advenures. Made me cry

A gift brought back from a clients holiday! Made my cry

SWEETS! Cold drinks in the fridge - found on arrival to recent visits. Made me cry

“Take a break bud” A client who has very much nailed it! Made me cry BUT I WILL FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS…a break is imminent as my brain and body are broken, its soon time to stop (just for a little while…November?)
